Kit Harington is sad because fans were hurt. But also happy at the same time.

We all knew what was coming, but at the same time had our doubts. On Sunday’s Season 6 Episode 2 – Home – of Game of Thrones, the final scene revealed what many fans thought to be true. Melisandre uses her powers, and the right moment to use ‘Please’ in addressing the Lord of Light. Consequently, Jon Snow is brought back to life, which had some fans outraged! We all wanted him to live, so why all the anger? That is because show-runners insisted time and again that Jon is absolutely, positively, entirely dead, and dismissed rumors suggesting Melisandre would bring him back.

Ever since Jon was murdered by, Olly – the little twat – and other members of the Night’s Watch, all viewers cared about was if Kit Harington’s character would live.

The actor kept shrugging the notion, even though he was spotted on season 6’s set on numerous occasions. Same goes for any other actor, and the show-runners.

Kit said:

“I’m glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, ‘Fine, Jon Snow’s dead.’ But it seems like people had a reaction similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it.”

No s$%#, Kit. Considering Jon is one of the most popular and endeared characters of the show, of course we care!

In the end, who are we kidding. The reveal was masterfully crafted (considering the circumstances), and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
