It is 13 years since Finding Nemo came out, and we’re finally edging closer to the release of the sequel to the beloved Pixar movie – Finding Dory.
We find that it is no coincidence that the trailer premiered on a talk show. Nowadays, every other movie trailer premiers on shows like Jimmy Kimmel and co. The trailer debuted on The Ellen Show last night, except this time, the host is actually the star of the movie. Ellen DeGeneres will be voicing Dory, same as in 2003’s Finding Nemo.
Finding Dory is reviving one of Pixar’s most beloved properties, and you shouldn’t expect something entirely new from this film. If you liked the first movie’s cast of marine characters, Finding Dory will introduce a whole lot of new characters. Rest assured, the movie will once again have you grabbing tissues, and pluck your heartstrings like the best of’em.
The picture should also cement parent company Disney as the leading studio in 2016, after the unparalleled success of earlier Disney movies this year.
Finding Dory stars Albert Brooks, Alexander Gould and Willem Dafoe alongside Ellen DeGeneres. It hits theaters on June 17, 2016.
