The Walking Dead Star, Norman Reedus recently discussed his new show and how he’d react if offered the role of Marvel’s Ghost Rider.
The actor, a motorcycle enthusiast by nature chatted with Uproxx regarding the possibility of portraying the anti-hero, first appearing in Marvel’s Spotlight issue #5 way back in 1972. Later, Nicholas Cage portrayed the Ghost Rider in two films, that were not received too well by audiences and critics.
Reedus said of the role –
“It would be a blast. Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? F*** yeah. I’m down.”
Reedus, who was a shoe-in for a role in Hideo Kijima’s video game, Silent Hills, a project that was later cancelled, is now promoting his own show, ‘Ride With Norman Reedus‘. The series will run on AMC, the same network he became famous in with the role of Daryl in The Walking Dead. With Ride With Norman Reedus, the actor gives us a peak into his awesome life as a motorcyclist as he rides across the country with his friends. Basically a very cool travel show.
Going back to the Ghost Rider role, Marvel hold the rights to the franchise, but studio president Kevin Feige said that they are not planning to reboot the series just yet. If they do, you know who I’m rooting for!
Ride With Norman Reedus premier airs June 12, 2016 on AMC. Watch a sneak peak to the upcoming series below –
