If you can’t wait for your next fix of HBO’s signature show, you’re out of luck. Series Show-runners suggest that the next season of their hit will air later than usual.
Winter is coming, and we need more of it. D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, in a podcast with UFC Unfiltered, said that just like in the show, weather plays a big role in how events transpire –
“We don’t have an air date yet but this year it’ll probably be a little bit later,” Weiss said during an episode of the UFC Unfiltered podcast. “We’re starting a bit later because you know, the end of this season, winter is here and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes anymore. So we kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim, gray weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”

I certainly don’t mind waiting a little longer, even if the weather argument may sound like an excuse to some. Just end the story on the high that we all expect and everyone will be happy, even if it means winter lasts forever.
