Stan Lee Rant Addresses David Ayer’s F*** Marvel Comment

Last week, David Ayer, director of Suicide Squad, echoed “F*** Marvel!” after a yelled the same at the world premier of the upcoming DC movie. A Stan Lee rant responds to those events.

He apologized after the incident, saying he was caught up in the moment when it happened. Marvel’s CCO, Joe Quesada, also supported Ayer, saying –

“cut David Ayer a break, it was all in good fun.”

Stan Lee, never one to just stay quiet, had his say in Stan’s Rant on his Twitter page (video below) –

And Ayer seemed to appreciate Stan’s response to the whole affair.

The movie tells the story of a secret government agency run by Amanda Waller, named A.R.G.U.S, who creates a task force comprising super villains, the “Suicide Squad”. They are assigned to execute dangerous tasks in exchange for shorter prison sentences.

The film stars Oscar nominee Will Smith (Ali, The Pursuit of Happyness), Oscar winner Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club), Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street, Focus), Joel Kinnaman (Netflix’s “House of Cards”) and Oscar nominee Viola Davis (The Help, Doubt).

Catch Suicide Squad in theaters starting August 5, 2016.
