Following LG, Sony, Samsung and HTC, Huawei enters the wearable VR market with its Huawei VR wearable.
In an event in Shanghai, China, Just weeks after unveiling the duo of P9 smartphones, Huawei unveil a new product – this time a wearable by the name of Huawei VR – to rival devices like the Gear VR by Samsung.
The aforementioned P9 and the Mate 8 are currently the only devices supported by the wearable. Huawei also provide 360° audio, assuming the content and headphones are compatible. The design is very similar to what we are accustomed to in the industry.
A welcome piece of news, is Huawei’s announcement of over 4,000 movies, 40 games, 350 panoramic photos and 150 virtual explorable worlds available for free at launch. No info is available yet regarding a possible launch date, but we’re betting it won’t take long, considering the state of competitor’s products.
