With Batman v Superman a big commercial success, we don’t assume WB execs are worrying to much for the future of the DC Comics movie universe.
After losing top spot last weekend, Zack Snyder’s disappointing (critically) Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Warner Bros.) dropped to fourth place with $9 million. BvS grossed $310 million domestically so far, after crossing the $300 million mark earlier in the week. Internationally, BvS stands at $515 million and counting. The film has now earned $827.3 million worldwide.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning from Man of Steel, joined by Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Holly Hunter as Senator Finch, as well as Scoot McNairy, Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto.
