WhatsApp now has a desktop version of their popular texting app.
Back in June 2015 the texting giant launched the web version of the popular texting service. Now, instead of having a browser open in order to text, you can install the new WhatsApp desktop app, and not rely on an open browser window for notifications.
Yesterday, Tuesday May 10, the company launched a native desktop app. This new, native app, should improve the experience of texting when on your personal computer.
The app is now available for download for Windows 8 and above, and Mac OS 10.9 and above.
The process of installing the app is fairly simple. You download the app, install the executable file, and scan the QR code in the same way you would for the web version of the app.
Are you planning to use the new app? Already using the web version? Sticking the the phone app?
