After a long wait, having known that the film is well into production, Assassin’s Creed, based on French publisher Ubisoft’s incredibly popular game franchise, gets a first trailer.
The first trailer for Assassin’s creed was first aired on Jimmy Kimmel.
X-Men’s Michael Fassbender stars (as Callum Lynch / Aguilar) and also produces the film.
Bill Collage and Adam Cooper take on writing duties, while Justin Kurzel directs the project.
The cast also includes Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises), Jeremy Irons (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Harry Potter’s Brendan Gleeson, The Wire’s Michael Kenneth Williams, Ariane Labed (Before Midnight), and Callum Turner (Green Room).
Official Synopsis: “Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.”
We must warn you that the original trailer’s soundtrack probably isn’t the best pick, so as a bonus we have added a version created by YouTube user Vincent Vendetta.
Will this be a decent game-turned-to-film? We will find out when the film releases on December 21, 2016.
