Warner Bros. has confirmed that the former Spider-Man actor will be given the role of Atlantean Justice League ally, Vulko.
The character Dafoe will portray in the upcoming Justice League film is Atlantean ally of the Justice League superheros, Vulko.
The character was first introduced in 1967, created by Bob Haney and Howard Purcell. He played a major role in Aquaman’s origin story.
Details on the scope of the role of Vulko are sparse at this point. Considering Dafoe’s pedigree, it is safe to assume he will not have a minuscule role in the film. There is also the possibility that he will reprise the role in James Wan’s Aquaman, due in 2018.
Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot reprise their roles as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Jason Momoa will portray Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, with Amber Heard to play Queen Mera. J.K Simmons (Whiplash) will play commissioner Gordon with Willem Dafoe as Vulko.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League will hit theaters on November 10, 2017.
