Batman: The Killing Joke’s theatrical release sold out, prompting 300 theaters to be added in various locations due to high demand.
The big screen debut of Batman: The Killing Joke, which is now screening across over one thousand theaters across the United States, is the widest and most successful release in Fathom Events’ history.
The critically acclaimed graphic novel, now turned to film, is currently set for a one time screening on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 7:30 pm and 10:00 pm local time at the various venues. Bruce Timm, from the Batman Animated Series returns as producer, along the likes of actors Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy who reprise their roles as The Joker and Batman, respectively.
An introduction from Mark Hamill himself will greet the audience, in addition to a documentary about the actor’s passion for the project. The original Batman: The Killing Joke is a Answer Studios and Warner Bros. production, and the theatrical version is a remaster of that presentation.
