The Walking Dead Actor is set to join a growing star studded ensemble in the Blade Runner sequel, the followup to 1982’s Blade Runner.
Dennis Villeneuve (Sicario) directs the Blade Runner Sequel, which follows the story of the original film. The plot resumes a few decades after the original, with Harrison Ford reprising his role as Rick Deckard. Hampton Fancher and Michael Green take on writing duties, which are based on Philip K. Dick’s novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.”
Frank Giustra and Tim Gamble, CEO’s of Thunderbird Films, will serve as executive producers. Ridley Scott will also executive produce. Bill Carraro will executive produce.
Lennie James, best know for his character Morgan Jones from AMC’s hit show The Walking Dead, joins Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Mackenzie Davis, Barkhad Abdi, David Dastmalchian, Hiam Abbass and Dave Bautista.
CEO’s of Thunderbird Films, Frank Giustra and Tim Gamble, will serve as executive producers. Ridley Scott, director of the original Blade Runner will also executive produce.
The Blade Runner sequel is set to hit theaters on October 6, 2017.
